From Languages and Frameworks to Business Opportunity

JavaOne 2007 is a real good example of the maturity of the development community. As you may expect the conference covers the technical aspect we all expect, but also this year there is a significant coverage for new business trends and opportunity.

As somebody said once. Learn something carefully, and once you master it, start to forget it. This year conference focus on that idea.

We already master the server side. It’s time to cover the rest of the areas were we are far from been good. The top trends covered are Mobility, RIA and SOA.

Mobility and Java for Devices is opening the door for a real industry revolution, this revolution will be supported by the experience and maturity of the server side effort we had reach but it will have a new face. SOA time is now, this is not the future is the present of the of the server side that will support the Mobility revolution.

What is next for Java? – faster and smaller implementations of the JDK.  The mobility revolution needs faster Java applications and improvements in the JDK are key contribution for this to happens.

More coming soon.
